Tempo – the Philippine’s fastest growing Newspaper Tabloid from Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation, was the tabloid assigned to us to look for environmental reports in the entire month of June. We felt indurate in searching for the needed reports because of too much compilations of news that are not under environmental reports neither man-made nor natural. However, we were still fortunate inasmuch as the tabloid we assessed was full of environmental reports if you were going to analyze it well.
Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation (MB) was founded as the daily bulletin on February 2, 1900 for the purpose of engaging in the publishing business. It was incorporated on June 12, 1912 as bulletin publishing company and reincorporated in 1959 as Bulletin Publishing Corporation. On June 22, 1989, the corporate name was amended to Manila Bulletin Publishing Corporation. MB has been transformed into a comprehensive newspaper and is published seven days a week with weekly magazines, the Philippine Panorama on Sunday, style weekend magazine on Friday, and Travel Magazine on the second and fourth Thursday of the month. The company publishes the daily tabloids, Tempo in the English language and Balita in Filipino.
Tempo is divided into five sections – news, opinion, entertainment, sports and lifestyle. We found that this tabloid has a lot of environmental reports both man-made and natural but in the month of June, man-made environmental reports are higher than natural. Here is the result of our assessment regarding the assigned tabloid.
